Barbara H Kidwell

Barbara Kidwell was an energetic, loving caring, Christian, mother, grandmother and friend.  She was sadly taken from us on Saturday, April 16, 2022.

She was born to Burton and Myrtle Harness on November 14th, 1939, in Rochester New York. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Stetson in 1960. She married and had 3 children, Marty, Keith and Gina.  She was an amazing teacher and retired in 2005 from Fort Lauderdale High School, where she taught computer science.  

Barbara loved spending her time going to garage sales, gardening, sewing, growing orchids, and doting over her grandchildren.  She spent many hours volunteering her time at church and loved spending time with family and friends. Barbara put the needs of others ahead of her own and seemed to always be available.   

Barbara is survived by her three children, Marty, Keith and Gina, their three spouses Susan, Nancy-Lynn and Tim, and her five grandchildren Timmy, Megan, Brian, Blake and Lauren.  She is preceded in death by her sister Susan Harness.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Barbara's name to the Alzheimer's Association 3323 W Commercial Blvd Suite 260, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.
