Binni K. Sweeney

Binni K. Sweeney passed away on May 23, 2021 at the age of 81 in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Binni is survived by her loving husband Harry D. Sweeney and her twin sister Beth Medina. Binni grew up in South Orange, NJ, but spent most of her life in South Florida. She graduated from Upsala College with a BBA in 1961.

Binni enjoyed working with her husband in his Certified Public Accounting practice in Fort Lauderdale until they retired in 2011. She loved being involved in the City of Fort Lauderdale Boards including chair of the Board of Adjustments and a member of the marine Board.

Binni loved to cook for family and friends. Any party Binni organized was one to remember. Binni loved reading hardback books; consequently she had a large library in the home. She was an avid golfer as a member of Coral Ridge Country Club. Binni and Harry traveled to many domestic and foreign courses to play golf. Binni played golf until her health limited her ability to play. She loved to play Mahjong and Bridge

Binni and Harry Traveled extensively, including Europe, Asia, South America, Middle East and Africa. As everything else Binni did, the trips were a first class. She was always knowledge of the areas and sites to see. Binni collected a knickknack and a poster of all the places Binni and Harry visited framing over 100 travel posters.

Celebration of her life is being held June 22, 2021 at Baird-Case Jordan-Fannin Funeral Home, 4343 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33308
