Curt Davis of Naples, FL died peacefully on March 23 in Fort Lauderdale, FL at the age of 83.
Curt was born in Kingsport, TN, the 4th child of William and Dora Fraley Davis. He graduated from East Tennessee State University with a BS in organic chemistry in 1956 on an Army ROTC scholarship. He served for 3 years as an Army officer and then worked for 30 years as a Patent Examiner with the US Patent and Trademark Office in Arlington VA.
Curt was married to Jackie Vaught Davis (also from Kingsport) for 56 years until her death in 2013. They moved to Longshore Lake in Naples, FL in 1991. Curt was a skilled woodworker and furniture maker and was an avid participant in the Longshore tennis leagues. In recent years he was an active volunteer at the Naples Senior Center.
Curt is survived by his son Gary and daughter-in-law Michele of Fort Lauderdale.
