Dara A. Segarich

Our beloved Dara Angelique Segarich, 39 years old, died Monday, June 13, 2022.

Born, July 21, 1982, she’s the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Stabile) Segarich. Her name, Dara, was chosen because it meant compassion. She showed compassion to her family, friends, animals, and anyone she met. She was a precocious child, speaking in full sentences at a year and a half. She also had a mind of her own, to which her brother Dmitri, whom she loved dearly, could testify.

She grew up in New Jersey, but she always wanted to explore other places. She attended Clemson University and later transferred to Rutgers University where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree.

Always independent, soon after that, she moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The sunshine state suited her fine. She had several jobs starting in sales, moving to finance, where she passed the Series 7, and public relations, where she found her passion. In addition, most recently, she freelanced as a writer.

Her hobbies included music and she loved to frequent art shows. Additionally, she loved to travel, going to Europe several times. Her latest trip was with her dad to Croatia and Amsterdam.

Dara is survived by her parents, Dorothy and Bob, her brother Dmitri, sister-in-law Melissa, nephew Robbie, niece Gianna, her aunts and uncles, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Jennifer, Uncles Larry, Barry, Brian, and Vic, as well as cousins, Lily, Emma, and Alec.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822. Entombment will follow in Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ 08801.
