Dorothy Helen Arbuthnot, 95, of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away Sunday, June 17th, 2018. Dorothy was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday, March, 13th, 1923 to Fred and Helen Heimrod. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Arbuthnot, and her brother, Robert Heimrod.
Dorothy is survived by daughter, Linda (James) Brown of Coral Springs, Florida, son, Gordon (Allyson) Arbuthnot of Indianapolis, Indiana, and grandchildren: Courtney McConnell, Lauren Blake, James Arbuthnot, and Sarah Brun. She is further survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Dorothy attended church at John Knox Village. Her favorite Bible verse is John 20:29 “Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” She enjoyed walking on the beach, playing bridge, and spending summers in Highlands, North Carolina.
Private services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the John Knox Village Chapel.
