Eileen Neering

Eileen Neering passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 on her 95th birthday. 

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Garnett Schafer.  Born in Florida and resided in Fort Lauderdale most of her life.  Eileen retired from the Miami Herald, enjoyed training Therapy Dogs, biking, roller skating and her exercise classes.  She and her beloved dachshund Lexi were very active in Therapy Dogs. Visiting with residents in nursing homes every week as well as participating in doggie fashion shows both with heads held high and smiling as they walked side by side around the facility entertaining people and bringing cheer to all.

Graveside service is scheduled for Monday, August 9, 2021, at 3:00 PM,at Forest Lawn Central Memorial Gardens. Located at 499 N.W. 27th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311.Telephone Number (954) 581-9033
