Tribute

Eleni Mandalozis “Lela” born on August 10, 1952 has passed away at the age of 67 on October 26, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in Greece where she met, fell in love and married her true love. She then began a family and migrated to the United States where she lived with her loving husband Vasilios “Vasili” of 48 years who was the apple of her eye and she is and always will be his.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, loving wife, sister, aunt, cousin and caring friend. She loved nothing more than to cook, care for and look after her family with all her heart and affection. She also was a great protector, listener and advisor.
She doted over her grandchildren for she always said that her grandchildren were HER children two times over. She was known for her unconditional love toward her family and friends, for being an impeccable home maker and for making sure that all that entered her home always left with a satisfied full belly with her wonderful Greek dishes and a smile full of her love.
She is survived by her husband Vasilios, her children Maria and her husband John, Vasiliki, Anastasia and her husband Theodoros and Dimostenis. Her Grandchildren Jonathan, Vasili, Nicholas and Melina.

God saw you were getting tired and
a cure was not to be, so he put his
arms around you and whispered
“Come To Me”
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away. Although
we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to
us, he only takes the best.
