Francesco F. Iannelli

On Friday, April 9, 2021, Frank Iannelli, loving husband of Immacolata Cocca Iannelli, passed away at age 88, one day after their 60th Wedding Anniversary.

Frank was born Francesco Iannelli on August 24, 1932 in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Benevento, Italy to Antonio Iannelli and Maria Grazia Pacifico. He met the love of his life, Immacolata, while visiting relatives in her hometown of Lucera, Foggia, Italy. After a brief courtship, they married in Lucera on April 8, 1961. They celebrated their marriage with a month-long honeymoon touring the beautiful sights of The Vatican and Italy. They settled in Springfield, New Jersey where Frank became a celebrated landscaper with his owner-operator business that spanned decades. After spending many winters in Florida, Frank and Immacolata retired permanently in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They were avid travelers and enjoyed many trips to Italy and around the world.

Frank was a devout Catholic and follower of Padre Pio, also known as Saint Pio of Pietralcina and attended St. John the Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale. Frank was admired by all of his family, friends and neighbors as someone who was always available to help. He will be forever known for his heartfelt friendships and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Antonio, his mother, Maria Grazia, his twin sister, Carmela, sister, Pasqualina, and brother, Carmine. He is survived by his wife Immacolata, his sisters, Giovanna, Maria and Incoronata, many brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral mass and internment will be in Lucera, Foggia, Italy at a later date.
