Ioannis Bonos, age 57, of Coral Springs, Florida, passed away on Friday, July 30th, 2021.
He is survived by his wife Maria Bonos, Seven children; Stella Georgakopoulos, George Bonos, Dimitri Pitsoulakis, Nikki Pitsoulakis, Kosta Bonos, Georgia Joseph, and Jonathan Bonos, His six grandchildren; Nicholas Pitsoulakis, Katerina Campos, Marianna Georgakopoulos, Ava Lehman, TJ Lehman, and Christian Lehman, and his Siblings; Theodoros Bonos, Kostas Bonos, & Maria Jacobs.
Born in Athens, Greece to Georgios & Anastasia Bonos, he immigrated to South Florida at the young age of 22 with the love of his life. Ioannis began building his family at the age of 18 and wanted nothing more than to give his family a perfect life. He was a master of his trade and his skill took him all over the country and the world. He had an open heart and welcomed any and everyone in with open arms. He was funny, charismatic, generous, and kind. Ioannis was a simple man and cherished nothing more than being together with his family, especially having family dinners; you could see the joy and happiness emanating from his eyes. He also loved to fish, loved his homeland, and was obsessed with his big trucks. Though his life came to an end unexpectedly and much too soon, the Legacy that he leaves behind is one to always be admired, honored, and remembered.
Visitation will be held at Baird-Case Jordan-Fannin Funeral Home on Thursday, August 5, 2021. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Noon.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Lauderdale.
