John "Jay" Zukoski, age 82, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022 with his wife of 57 years, Hanna Zukoski and daughter Nadine Murray by his side.
Jay was born on March 18, 1940 in Rochester, NY, as the third of eleven children, to Fred and Ruth Zukoski. He was an avid hunter, boater, fisherman, dog lover and joke teller. He worked in the residential construction business, running his own company that built over 1,000 homes for families. Jay is best known for the depth of his heart and the sound of his laugh.
A burial service will be held in Rochester, NY in the end of June.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M., at the Baird Case Jordan Fannin Funeral Home, 4343 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the YMCA, the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of their choice.
