Kelli Lynn James went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2018 after battling a series of illnesses over the past number of years. Kelli was born in Findlay, Ohio on December 18, 1953. Her family moved to Florida when Kelli was 5 years old and was raised by a loving Grandmother.
She is survived by two sisters: Kathi O’Connor of Ocala, Florida and Kristi Bavuso of Pensacola, Florida and by her faithful and loving friend, Mary Lou Ingalls.
Kelli spent her working life in the service industry, delivering produce for the Pompano Produce Company and then working for Albertson’s Supermarket. She retired thirteen years ago after experiencing a TIA.
Kelli was the consummate cat lover and loved all things “cat!” She also enjoyed the card making class, “Love Notes,” hosted by Lynn Lloyd and other activities, many sponsored by First Baptist Fort Lauderdale.
During the last number of years, she has battled multiple health issues, a very serious one being renal failure that resulted in her having to be on dialysis.
Kelli was a long time member of First Baptist Fort Lauderdale and, up to a short time ago, an active member in the “Women Who Make a Difference” Bible Study that met on Sunday mornings at the church. She considered First Baptist Fort Lauderdale as her “family” and will be missed by many.
Services will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2018 at First Baptist Fort Lauderdale in the Welcome Center at 2 pm, followed by a reception in the Lobby.
