Fort Lauderdale, Florida….Surrounded by family, Norma Jean Bedley (Marra), age 90, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 13, 2021. She was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on February 20th, 1931 and graduated from Trinity High School in 1949. Norma married in 1954 then moved to Florida with her family in 1969, where she has since resided.
She is survived by her husband George Bedley; three sons Dennis, John, and Michael; two daughters-in-law Patty and Suzette; five granddaughters Katherine, Laryssa, Elizabeth, Christina, and Claire; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was a long-time member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and member of their choir.
Norma was truly the pinnacle of “family first” and will forever be cherished and remembered as a devoted wife of 67 years, a mother to her three sons, and loving grandmother to her five granddaughters. Her favorite activities were Sunday family gatherings, listening to music, and dancing the polka. Everyone who knew Norma would attest to her dedication to her family. She will be missed immensely.
The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, December 16th at 2-5 PM at the Baird-Case Jordan-Fannin Funeral Home located at 4343 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, December 22nd at the South Florida VA National Cemetery located in at 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida.
