Patricia Ann McGann Dunne, 86, of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Born in New York City on March 17, 1935, she graduated in 1956 from St. Catherines Nursing School in Brooklyn.
While in New York, she worked as an Ob-Gyn nurse and at the AT&T Blood Bank in New York City. She met and later married Vincent J. Dunne on June 7, 1969. They then moved and lived in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea for more than 40 years, where she was an active board member of Broward Junior Golf, while enjoying doing crafts, volunteering at Assumption Catholic Church Guild and embracing her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, who passed in 1999, and her brother, George (2020). She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Dunne-Hembd of St. Augustine and Ellen Dunne of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea; and two grandsons, Tyler and Dylan Hembd.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 4, 2021 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 5th., at 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 2001 South Ocean Boulevard Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Florida 33062.
Burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in North Lauderdale, Florida.
