Philip Friona, 80 of Plantation, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.  Philip was the son of the late Philip & Esterine Friona.  He was predeceased by two sisters Maryann Friona and Fedina (Alan) Elia.  Philip is survived by his four children: Teri, Philip (Gina Fera), Paula (Robert Cheff),  and Mary (Scott Celani).  Twelve grandchildren; Jessica, Michael, Erica, Angela, Farrah, Nicole, Jamie, Jimmy, Alexa, Maria, Emma and Ella Grace; One great grandson Ayden, and several nieces,  nephews cousins and many devoted friends. 
 Philip was honorably discharged after serving in the United States Air Force and loved his country.
 Philip was actively involved in the heavy construction industry for 60 years with controlling interest in the former Friona Bros. Trucking of Niagara Falls,  New York and Charlie Frymyer Paving of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 
Philip enjoyed thoroughbred horse racing as an owner, a passion he shared with his children while managing Three Sisters Stable.  Phil was also a loyal Bills & Yankee Fan.
He was a long standing member of the Republican Party and a philanthropist in many charities. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Joseph Church on,  October 13th., at  10 AM.  Arrangements made by the MJ Colucci & Son Funeral Home and Baird Case Jordan Fannin Funeral Home. 
Flowers are graciously declined, donations may be made in Philip's honor to The Wounded Warriors Project at woundedwarriorsproject.org.
