Dr. Ralph Winston McEwen (76) went to be with His heavenly father on 7/28/2019. He was born on 8/17/1942 in Hillsboro Ohio, one of 7 children: Nancy Layman, Dr. David McEwen, Ruth Warren, Hon. Bob McEwen, Dayton McEwen (deceased), Mary Tower and Debbie West.
 
He is survived by his wife Glenis Ortega McEwen, M.S. Nuclear Engineer, his daughter Margie Smith and granddaughter Berit Smith. He is preceded in passing by his son Ralph (Chip) McEwen II.
Ralph joined the Air force just out of high school and was honorable discharged. He graduated from Lincoln Chiropractic College with a B.S in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. He practiced as a Chiropractic Physician in Boca Raton, Fl for 42 years retiring in 2008.
Dr. McEwen was a vocalist and talented musician playing piano and trumpet. He loved studying the Bible and sharing his findings with others and taught Bible Studies with his wife in his Fort Lauderdale home for over 18 years. He was active in Christian service in different churches throughout his life. He was currently serving at Family of God Baptist Church in Plantation Fl.
 
His friends and family remember him as the personification of gentleness, humble, kind, caring, loving, nurturing, sensitive, giver of wise counsel and a handyman. His patients loved his dedication and his genuine concerned for them. Before passing, while having chest pain and his wife calling 911 he took the time to hold his wife’s hand and pray with her and for her. A godly man. His wife’s family say that he was an angel the Lord blessed them with for a season, a well of blessings in every way.
 
A memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday August 31st at 1:00 PM at the Chapel in Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church located at 5555 N. Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale Fl 33308. All are welcome to attend and Celebrate Dr. Ralph McEwen’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests support to I.B. Familia de Dios, Attn: Loaves and Fishes Ministry located at 1101 SW 49th Ave, Plantation Fl 33317. (Supports needy Children in Venezuela).
