Tribute

Ruth Connors Findlan

Ruth, 103, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, September 18, 2021. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Charles and Anne Connors and was the seventh of nine children.

She was a resident of Fort Lauderdale for 50-years. Ruth had a kind, gentle, and very caring heart and blessed her family and friends with a boundless love. Her smile lit up the room and her sense of humor was memorable. Her Catholic faith was her abiding strength.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Sr, a decorated WWII Army veteran, and her beloved daughter, Mary Ann. Left to celebrate her life are her three sons: Richard, Jr (Christine), Michael and Joseph who provided decades of faithful, loving care. Also celebrating her is her son-in-law Dave Williams, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Ruth was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Ruth’s family extends their sincere gratitude to her “2nd Family”- the staff at Williamsburg Landing Assisted Living in Wilton Manor who provided her with 12 years of loving care.
