Thomas J. Stricker

Thomas James Stricker age 84, passed away peacefully on February 28th,2019 at Catholic Hospice in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Thomas was born September 29th, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Agnes (Toman) Stricker and Gustave Stricker. He was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp from 1953 to 1956. He fought in the latter part of the Korean war. After returning home, he worked at Saginaw Steering Gear, a subsidiary of General Motors, as a machinist in the research and development department. In 1996, he moved to Fort Lauderdale Florida to be closer to his family. Over the last 10 years, Thomas was a resident of Manor Pines nursing home due to a stroke in 2008. He is survived by his son Todd J. Stricker (Jennifer), three grandchildren: Jake, Robert and Hayley. Four brothers and one sister: Gustof (Marilynn), Barry (Mary), Randy , Ronald (Laquita), Karen Billups and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his son Mark J. Stricker in 2009 and his brother Donald Stricker 1952.
Graveside service will be April, 15th., at 11:00 a.m. at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lakeworth, FL. 33467 Meet in Lane 5
