Brian Thomas Smith, 53, of Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away on February 26, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He is a 1983 graduate of Dunwoody High School in Dunwoody, GA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 1990 and his MBA in Finance in 1992, both from Georgia State University.
Brian will always be remembered for his overwhelming generosity towards his family and friends, his intelligence and quick wit, and his strong entrepreneurial drive. He achieved a high level of success in his business ventures. He loved to travel and was a huge Rolling Stones fan (it is no coincidence his French Bulldog’s name is Jagger!) His pride and joy was his beautiful daughter, Ava Rose.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Keith Smith.
He is survived by: His wife, Amy Smith and daughter, Ava Rose Smith. His father, Hayward Smith of Fort Lauderdale, FL. His mother, Donna Smith DeSantis of Deerfield Beach, FL. His brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Stephaney Smith of Lighthouse Point, FL. His nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends, on Sunday, March 4th., from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. with a Life Celebration service at 3:00 p.m., at the Baird Case Jordan Fannin Funeral Home, 4343 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308.
