I cannot begin to imagine the shock and the pain that you have had to endure these past few weeks. Minerva was a lighthouse thats shined brightly, wherever she was she lit up the room. The video tribute is a testimony of Love, Family & Freinds. Hold onto all of those that you still have left in your life today as they need you as much as you need them. Keep her memory alive by sharing stories and moments of your lives together, for it is these stories that begin to heal your hearts. She is with you now and forever - do not ever doubt that. May God bless you and Keep you and hold you in the Palm of His Hand from this day forward...

John, I have always thought the world of you. You have been very kind and thoughful to me and my family…and one of TJ's dearest friends. So finding out that you have lost your wife brakes my heart. Wishing I had the words to ease your pain. But I am well aware that there are none. However, the one thing I can say without a doubt is the beautiful light that Minerva was on this earth will forever shine in your heart. She will be with you always. My heartfelt love and prayers are with you, and your family.

The stories sorounding Minerva, or Paty as we knew her by her mexican family, abound, they were rich, and always told with love by my mother and aunts, all the stories about how magical was growing up in the family, all the stories Minerva used to tell to the young ones, all the games, and anecdotes were my mother found someone to share experiences according to her age, but also the artistic talent she had since she was young. I feel the mourning of the loss my mother feels, like she if had lost and old friend.
We are far from you, but our memories will always make us have you close. Our most sincere condolences to John and family, who despite of the distance will always look forward to meet.

With love,
Daniel Jop Quintero, son of Sara Isabel Quintero Coronado.

Minerva and I were close friends for over 20 years. We traveled, created and published books, shared family stories about our children who went to school together, and there was so much laughter and fun. The void I feel by her passing can never be filled.

Minerva was a best friend to all her co-volunteers at the museum and a great inspiration to the many students performing community service there. Mostly we will miss her ever-present smile and laughter.
